Why should you attend?

Managers have a responsibility under Section 19 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, to identify workplace hazards and undertake risk assessments to ensure appropriate controls measures are put in place to protect the safety health and welfare of their employees and others who may be affected by their work activities.

The employer must provide information relating to the safe handling, disposal and storage of healthcare waste including sharps.

Who should attend?

All employees who generate, store, dispose and handle healthcare waste.

Duration: Half day (4 hours)
